Cloakwork, a Malaysian street artist and illustrator from Kuala Lumpur, is known for his unique and playful art style. Starting with graffiti in his local neighbourhood, he expanded to murals and public art, blending traditional painting and street art.
His work features bright colours, bold lines, and illustrative characters, often depicting oversized objects and whimsical scenes that evoke a sense of wonder and imagination. He has created numerous murals and street art both in Malaysia and around the world, and has worked with renowned brands such as Calvin Klein, Pepsi, and Montana Cans.
The Builder is an AR artwork that adds playful interactivity to Cloakwork's street art. Inspired by the mural's character wearing a safety helmet, the AR experience interprets this character as a builder and brings the mural to life with animated elements.
By tapping the character, audiences trigger buildings and a bulldozer to fall from the sky, allowing them to "drive" the bulldozer around the mural, evoking the fun of playing with toy cars.
