Norman Khek is a seasoned artist who started his career after studying at the Kuala Lumpur Art Academy. With experience working alongside local and international advertising agencies, he transitioned to mural painting in 2018. His vibrant murals are featured at iconic locations such as Kwai Chai Hong in Kuala Lumpur, Mamee Jonker House in Malacca, and Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur. As a dedicated member of Sketchwalk Kuala Lumpur, Norman is passionate about drawing and regularly participates in weekend sketchwalk events.
Our AR project aims to showcase traditional childhood toys such as congkak, wau bulan, yoyo, gasing, and jianzi, along with a Chinese drum toy. These elements are integrated into the artwork featuring a little cute girl.
A crayon drawing hanging on the window also highlights Malaysian culture, depicting the three major races living together happily and featuring typical Malaysian buildings. We use a yellow bird to introduce and conclude the story, symbolising the joy and nostalgia of childhood memories and the unity of Malaysia’s diverse heritage.
