About the AR

Wau Bulan is an AR experience designed for Starhill Mall, Kuala Lumpur, where users can see a majestic Wau Bulan kite emerging from the mall, brought to life with vibrant traditional patterns and animations.

This immersive experience highlights the cultural significance of the Wau Bulan. It raises awareness about the endangered Malayan tiger, the dying culture of tekat emas, and the struggles of kite makers, all while capturing the mystical essence of the kite's flight.

The project aims to preserve and protect this dying art form, inviting users to explore and appreciate its heritage through a guided narrative.
