About AR

This augmented reality (AR) street art project merges the intricate beauty of Indian batik art with the dynamic energy of street art, inviting viewers to experience cultural fusion through interactive immersion. Batik, a traditional Indian textile art known for its detailed patterns and cultural significance, forms the core inspiration.

The concept draws inspiration from the intricate motifs of Indian batik art to create an AR experience where audience members input their names, transforming them into animated patterns integrated into a dynamic wishing tree.

Each name blooms like a flower with unique batik designs, blending cultural heritage with modern technology. This immersive interaction allows users to contribute actively to a digital mural, celebrating traditional art in a contemporary context and creating a visually compelling, intellectually engaging experience that fosters connections across cultures.

About AR

This mural by Wan Jepah features a striking black-and-white design reminiscent of a colouring book.

An augmented reality (AR) filter was designed to bring this artwork to life by adding colour. The first colour set uses bold colours. In contrast, the second colour set opts for a more subdued approach with pastel shades. Additionally, the AR experience incorporates motion elements in the fauna and the flying Wau for an engaging visual effect.
